Abstract

This study investigates how advances in information and communication technology (ICT) have altered the traditional library landscape into one that is dynamic, inclusive, and user- centric. This shift holds great promise for people with disabilities (DAPs), who frequently confront physical and social hurdles to accessing information. Libraries in India are gradually using ICT-based assistive devices to give fair access to information to the unreached disabled people to pursue and enhance their knowledge. This article investigates the current state, difficulties, and potential of ICT-based library services for differently abled people in India, providing insights into policy implications, best practices, and the road ahead
