dc.description | This is only an Abstract | en_US |
dc.description.abstract | Internet is an enormous collection of resources. You can find information about several subjects. Thus some paper consider it as a huge library. But the difficult part is to start searching. Unlike libraries, there is no single catalogue in which you can identify or retrieve the item you are looking for. Evolution of tools to find and access graphically rich multimedia components as well as textual data thereby freeing from restrictions of FTP archives made Web more popular. These tools made it possible to find and access this richness. Finding the Web documents ( Web "pages" or "sites") you want can be easy or seem impossibly difficult. This is mainly because of the size of the WWW, currently estimated to contain 3 billion documents. It is also because the WWW is not indexed with any standard vocabulary. Unlike a library's catalogs, in which can use standardized subject headings to find books in most large, in Web searching you are always guessing what words will be in the pages you want to find or guessing what subject terms were chosen by someone to organize a web page or site covering a specific topic. | en_US |
