dc.description.abstract | Free and equal information is the catch of the day, emphasis is laid today on promoting information access through different medium to provide to right user at the right time. While the information revolution has placed enormous pressure on libraries as they try to find their way across the dramatic technological revolution. Information at present is the source of production, transmission and consumption in the electronic age; and is considered to be the back bone in the digital repositories. Every digital collection is based on e-learning, which provide free access to all. In democratic world uneven access has led to a growing concern about the rise of a digital divide between information “ haves” and “have nots” based on race, income, family structure, education and other factors. | en_US |
