Abstract: | The purpose of this study is to investigate perceptions and experiences regarding the utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in scholarly research at Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma University, West Bengal. In addition, the study seeks to propose a model for librarians to enhance researchers' awareness of the optimal use of AI tools within library settings. Data for the study were collected through an online questionnaire (Google form) administered to faculty members and research scholars at the university campus. The study revealed that 100% of the respondents prefer to utilize various AI tools in their research, citing their prompt assistance in research endeavours. A substantial number of respondents demonstrated a high level of awareness and positive attitudes toward integrating AI tools in research. However, they acknowledged ethical considerations regarding the utilization of AI tools as a critical issue in the research domain. |
