Abstract: Application of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Library and Information Centre (LIC) brings significant changes in its systems and services. The LIC always tries to apply various ICT tools to make the systems and services more user-friendly. Cloud computing is the recent one in this row. This paper shows how the Google’s cloud based service, i.e., Google Drive can be used in a college library. In college library, for purchasing the library books, the faculty members usually submit their requisite list of books in plain paper or in a prescribed form containing different columns for bibliographic information and number of copies required. In this process, a librarian faces different obstacles. Google Drive is one of the to solutions to overcome from this issue. This study is completely based on a practical approach followed in Pub Kamrup College Library and it is in initial stage/trial stage.
