dc.description.abstractDigital information preservation is always the thinking of library and information society. Transition from print format to electronic format has given rise to various issues in preserving the digital form. Preservation problem is complicated by the rapid obsolescence of the hardware and software required to interpret and present digital documents. This paper highlights the necessity of preserving the digital form, strategies related to preservation, technologies and UNESCO guidelines for digital preservation of library documents.en_US
