These requirements include LAN and client-server architecture, facilities for storage and access, facilities for archiving digital information, establishing priorities in building network information resources, introducing necessary changes in library organisation and services, and providing a comprehensive usertraining programme. Guidelines for building digital library and information services are suggested.
