Abstract
One of the most important developments in the library domain is digitization of library materials.
The digital library development movement is probably the most perplexing and promising
development for libraries since the beginning of automation. This paper briefly discusses the
concept and implications of digital library, and provides initiatives to be taken in Nagaland
University with particular emphasis to the library at Headquarters: Lumami.
