| Abstract: | This paper discuses objectives and functions of a LAN. In the planning, establishment and implementation of library and information networks at different levels, many problems are encountered. It explains the needs for the objective of sharing resources through networks. The concept of resource sharing, with particular attention to the cooperative acquisition and storage of materials, is examined in relationship to LAN. |
