Today Digital Technology (computers and communication technology) is enabling information to be created, manipulated, disseminated, located and stored with increasing ease over the traditional one. On the other side Technological Obsolescence is the result of evolution of technology: as newer technology appears, older ones ceased to be used. Consequently, information, which relies on obsolete technology, becomes inaccessible. And preserving access to this (digital) information poses a significant challenge to the Library and Information Community. The present study highlights the digital preservation techniques and issues involved with it.en_US
