    Uses of Full Text Database - An Experiment With UNIX

    Consinderging the development in IT and avai/abi/ty of textual databases in electronic form, attempts needs to be made to know the techniques of using them. The study attempts to derive index terms from the text, assigns the subject headings to an index stored in a data file to get local documentation list, to provide CAS. Provides facilities for searching and retrieval of the text.
