    The huge growth of the fast rate of the change of the web makes it really hard to retrieve information relevant to specific user’s needs. Electronic resources are becoming increasingly important to libraries of all types and sizes. Addresses the development of an electronic information resources collection development policy to guide the librarians at Penn State Harrisburg in the selection of electronic reference resources. Journal articles were the important content type of IRs, while working papers, thesis and conference papers were the next common. Other categories, conference proceedings, and conference papers also exhibited a high growth rate

    Document Delivery in Digital Age

    With the advent of the Internet and electronic publishing systems, new ways of delivering scholarly information have arisen which challenge some of the traditional systems made for document delivery. Document Delivery bridges the gap between the customers and the document. Libraries have to offer user friendly access to hybrid collections, and design and implement document delivery mechanisms from paper originals to provide a seamless integration between delivery from electronic and paper articles. This paper explores how that role is changing to embrace virtual holdings and electronic document delivery.

It reveals the Social Science content as being deposited by top contributing Universities in Shodhganga online theses repository in terms of theses content, topics covered, language wise theses and usage statics of the Social Science content.
