    Artificial Intelligence Literacy among Research Scholars: A Study

    This study adopted a quantitative method to assess the Artificial Intelligence (AI) literacy level of research scholars affiliated with Pondicherry University, India. A total of 60 respondents from various departments coming under the departments of Science and Social Science streams participated in this online survey that explored their level of AI literacy in the five key components, such as knowledge and understanding of AI, skills in using AI tools for research, ethical awareness and critical thinking, and attitudes and perceptions toward AI. The findings of this study highlight significant gaps in AI literacy among research scholars, particularly in distinguishing AI concepts, the practical application of AI tools, and ethical practice. Despite strong foundational knowledge and positive attitudes toward AI, scholars hesitate to integrate AI into their research processes and consistently cite AI-generated material. This study calls for developing AI literacy modules and training programs across India's higher education sector

    Evolutionof Library Assessment Literature – A Bibliometric Analysis of LAC Proceedings

    The purpose of this paper is to analyze the publications reflected in the Library Assessment Conference (LAC) Proceedings from 2006 to 2014. Taking data from the online Library Assessment Conference Proceedings, we constructed a data set to study various bibliometric dimensions in terms of research topics, growth of literature, authorship distribution, and collaboration pattern.The finding suggest that, the contribution to LAC proceeding has steadily been increased. Some of the authors and organizations have shown their loyalty to the LAC and contributed in every proceeding from 2006 to 2014. It shows that 6 organizations have contributed in all the LAC proceedings with “University of Washington, USA tops the list with 32 contributions Similarly, the study of authors loyalty to LAC shows that 6 authors have shown their loyalty by contributing papers in all the LAC proceedings. “Martha Kyrillidou” and “Megan J.Oakleaf” tops the list with 12 contributions.

    The Revelation of Relationship between Library Transactions and Students’ Academic Performance

    There should be an empirical demonstration by Academic Libraries to show that library usage does contribute positively to students’ academic achievement. It would add value to the effectiveness of the library in particular and institution in general. User surveys and focus group interviews are good tools for understanding user needs, expectations, and satisfaction/dissatisfactions. These can measure students’ perceptions only but that does not necessarily match with real learning outcomes. Library Transactions made by the students here play a vital role in accessing their outcomes in terms of Academic Performance. The present study attempts to uncover the meaningful relationship between the students’ library book transactions and their Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). It could be proved that library transaction was able to put its impact on students’ academic performance.
