This paper describes the concept of digital libraries, its needs, characteristics and functions. The scope, methodology adopted for collection, presentation, analysis and interpretation of data for this paper are concentrated to libraries of some leading colleges in Manipur. It also highlights the problems and prospects in College libraries of Manipur.
