| Abstract: | Discusses the trend and the need for the transformation of traditional library collections from print into digital form. The concept of Hybrid Library is also briefly presented. Migration as preservation strategy is discussed. The influence of technological innovations on migration of digital collections is also discussed. Different risk factors involved in migrating the digital data from one media and format to another are highlighted. |
