Knowledge Management has become a new research area in comparison to other research areas such as data processing, information management, and network management. The innermost assignment of a library is to accumulate, systematize, preserve, and endow with access to knowledge and information. In fulfilling this gigantic mission, libraries preserve a valuable record of culture that can be passed down to succeeding generations. Libraries are an essential link in this communication between past, present, and future. Whether the cultural record is contained in books or in electronic formats, libraries ensure that the record is preserved, managed and made available for wide range of its usability.
