dc.description.abstractThe paper gives a brief account of IT application in Madras University Library. Lists hardwares and softwares used for creation of different databases listed. Discusses in great detail degitisation initiatives taken by Madras University libraries under the RECON project supported by INFLIBNET. Steps followed in execution of the project and use of SOUL for creating database have been presented. At the end future plans are briefly discussed.en_US
