Internet engineering has emerged as a powerful tool for modern libraries and information centres in providing information services. Discusses what and why of Internet. Internet tools like E-MAIL, FTP,USENET and TELNET for achieving internet services have been briefly explained. Finally, need forresource sharing and role of Internet engineering in resource sharing have been elaborated.
