This paper mainly focuses on the concept of Knowledge Management, and the role of the Library professionals in managing the knowledge. The paper states the value of knowledge for an organization and also highlights the importance of librarians and information professionals in managing the KM of organizations such as Knowledge creation, capture, acquisition and sharing is described. Paper also touched the topics like challenges to KM, Strategies of KM barriers to implement KM. Paper attempted to give an over all picture of the KM and its role in the Libraries. |
