An assessment is made on the basis of the availability of computer hardware, software, operating system, databases of holdings and online connectivity. It reveals that most of the libraries do not follow uniform standards for management and utilization of their collections. It is suggested to develop IT infrastructure for them in a phased manner by procurement of hardware, software, training of personnel and achieving online connectivity. en_US
