dc.description.abstract The Structural Engineering Research Centre (SERC) is one of the modern libraries in the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), providing computerized services to the users since 1991. The library presently uses a commercially available software - ‘AutoLib’- for its in -house operations and information storage and retrieval services. The software has been customized to provide various specialized web based services on the campus intranet. This paper briefly covers the hardware requirements and describes the various customized services such as Research Alert, Web OPAC, Project Profile Service, Online Research Diary, Digital Library Module (for cataloguing digital resources), Contents Page Services, Web based circulation reports, etc. en_US
