Libraries have witnessed a great metamorphosis in recent years both in their collection development
and in their service structure. In recent years, the print medium is increasingly giving way to the
electronic resources. The documents that are in electronic form are said to be electronic resources.
Based on the facts, the paper defines the concept of e-resource & highlights its advantages. It
enumerates e-resources subscribed by NIT Silchar and presents a case study e-resource management
