Many observers have praised the Internet for its omnipresent nature and argued that this
global medium is revolutionizing the nature of modern communications. The rise of the
internet, is challenging the telecom infrastructure, management and accessibility in India.
Telecom in developing countries faces a distinct challenge as compared to developed
countries. As the Internet continues to grow, questions of accessibility and infrastructure
equity persist. This paper provides an overview of the developments in telecommunications
and networking in India. |
