dc.description.abstract Since the advent of Unicode, electronic representation of regional language script is not as issue. However, transliteration is inevitable in a database designed to meet the needs of people who does not know that language. By transliteration, a unique name in one language or culture may have variant spelling in another language. The cataloguer maintainsname authority file to solve this problem. This article analyse the optionsfor retrieving transliterated Arabic names in major OPACs. en_US
