Abstract: Electronic publishing has been revolutionizing the format of the recorded knowledge. Electronic information services are attracting reader’s attention in today’s network environment. This changing scenario in library environment has arisen for the need and use of e-journals along with print version. Electronic journals (e-journals) bring new challenges before the library and information professionals to give full text access to scholarly publications both in print and electronic version to its end users. The aim of this paper is to identify various issues relating to access and bibliographic control of e-journals, access management problems, policy issues, and development of e-journals consortium approach to subscribe scholarly peer reviewed journals for their library users in network environment. Abstract: The emergence of Internet has added a new dimension to information technology which gave birth to the new concepts of Digital Libraries (DLs), Knowledge Management (KM), and archiving of indigenous culture and heritage materials. The Digital Libraries have emerged as a crucial component of global information infrastructure, adopting the latest Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to promote an organisational structure that encourages communication and resource sharing between the academician and scholars across the nations. The present paper gives an overview of the latest developments, which have been taken place in the areas of digital library and an attempt is also made to give a brief account of Indian initiatives for establishing digital libraries and also effort taken by university/ institutional libraries to transform themselves from the traditional libraries to computerised and ultimately digital or hybrid libraries. In addition to that some initiatives taken by North Eastern States for the digitisation of manuscripts and rare materials, preservation of digital content etc have also been described in brief. Abstract: In the state of Maharashtra there are four agricultural university libraries which are rendering electronic information services to the users to fulfill the aims and objects of the agricultural university. The present paper succinctly describes the evaluation of electronic information services in the light of current status of electronic information services and INFLIBNET services in agricultural university libraries in Maharashtra. The survey of information needs of the users and electronic information services available in Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth library, Akola has been conducted.
