Internet editions of various newspapers in English and other regional languages in India are being produced, on an increasing scale, in India
during the last three/four years. The text of these editions is preserved at various newspaper offices. This has resulted in database creation activity in Indian languages. Internet editions of Marathi newspapers are also being produced recently . Studies have been conducted on four Marathi news papers and various aspects like periodicity, preservation periods, typography/fonts used, procedure for information searching, headings, colours used etc. have been studied. |
