Abstract: Here we present about automatically generated ontologies for a semantic web search system using data mining techniques. This will improve the query process and will get better semantic results. Ranking algorithm[1] is used to search and analyze web documents in a more flexible and effective way. Hyperlink structure of web document is utilized to rank the results. We use association rule mining to find the maximal keyword patterns. Clustering is used to group retrieved documents into distinct sets. This will extract knowledge about query from the web, populate a knowledge base. The search engine that searches the web documents so far are syntactic oriented. Here we develop a searching system that semantically searches the documents. The semantics of the terms is achieved using the ontologies. Ontology serves as Meta data schemas, providing a controlled vocabulary of concepts, each with explicitly defined meaning. Ranking algorithm used here is the hyper textual ranking algorithm that scans both the contents of the documents and also the reciprocally linked documents. This technique has several advantages that include providing better semantic notion during the search. It also serves for multiple frame documents. There is a need for automatic generation of ontologies when using the semantic searching system. The paper here focuses on how the automatic generation of ontologies could be done for a semantic search system using data mining techniques. Abstract: The paper is about REST (Representational State Transfer) patterns URI using various new web technologies. This paper discusses use of REST URI with several Semantic Web components, along with Semantic Web and Ontology technology implementation approaches along with theory concepts in mind so the practical implementation can be further carried out with variety of measurements. In Ontology terminologies, SPARQL is a standard query language for RDF but plays a vital role by using FOAF function which deals with information of particular URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) to process. Abstract: The World Wide Web is growing at an exponential rate. There are more and more technologies being developed to provide different ways of accessing this huge information resource, as well as representing the information stored. Because of the increase in information available and people or agents accessing it, the issue of securing this information has become paramount. Semantic Web is an extension of the current web in which the information is given well defined meaning, better enabling computers and people to work in co-operation.[1]. The web pages are designed to be read by humans and not machines. The Semantic Web is a project aimed to make web pages understandable by computers, so that they can search web sites and perform actions in a standardized way URI: http://hdl.handle.net/1944/1099 Files in this item: 1

Abstract: Creation of research results and its publications is extremely important for further research in the same area. Research institutions are already making their best effort to digitize their research output and keeping it in an archive as repository for internal access and sharing among peer research. Open access model has paved way for publishing the research result on public access mode. Shodhganga is a National Repository of Electronic Theses and Dissertations (ETDs) awarded in Indian Universities. Search and discovery of content in a semantic approach is paramount for a researcher to navigate to the proper content in ETDs. Creation of meta-data, organizing it in a logically linked relation is proposed for a semantic visual browser. Use of ontology for the explicit specification of conceptualization of the important meta-data elements by using latest semantic tools such as RDF/XML, OWL, Protégé, NeOn toolkit are discussed in this paper. A conceptual framework for ontologies based on the standard and advanced ontological model and its creation and implementation with reference to ETDs is also discussed. Abstract: The amount of available information online has increased exponentially with the rapid development of the World Wide Web. A lack of standardization and common vocabulary has continued to generate heterogeneity, which strongly hinders information exchange and communication. Ontologies, which capture the semantics of information from various sources and giving them a concise, uniform and declarative description, have gained significance due to the demands in academia and industry. This paper discusses ontology and its uses in semantic webs for digital libraries. URI: http://hdl.handle.net/1944/1024 Files in this item: 1

Abstract: The use of digital library in this era advances the speed of information access. In this regard the demand for the digitization of the paper based information into the digital format is evolving. Most of the time this requirements are fulfilled by developing digital library which are capable to hold and store a huge amount of digital data either separately or in archive. The present digital library system is facing the problem of incomplete/partial automation, resource sharing operation integration, interoperability due to heterogeneous data, information and knowledge for information discovery. Adding semantics to the digital library can alleviate the same. So, a proper Knowledge Management System based on Ontology is a key requirement. In this paper a conceptual framework is proposed for better Knowledge Management for the digital library using Ontologies. In addition to that this paper discusses about the necessity of constructing ontology based knowledge management in digital libraries using semantics. Abstract: The WWW is the largest single information resource humanity. Unfortunately, despite its dependence on computers to operate at all, most of the information is only understandable by humans and not by computers. While computers can use the syntax of HTML documents to display in a web browser, Web computers can’t understand the content the semantics. Human beings are capable of using the Web to carry out tasks such as finding the information. However, a computer cannot accomplish the same tasks without human direction because web pages are designed to be read by public, not machines. The semantic web is a vision of information that is understandable by computers, so that public can perform more of the tedious work involved in finding, sharing and combining information on the web. The paper emphasizes the semantic tools available. URI: http://hdl.handle.net/1944/1030 Files in this item: 1

Abstract: Today most of the functions that we perform on Internet, like- searching, retrieving, interpreting, analyzing, tracking records, etc. depend on the concept of semantic web. Development of semantic networks largely depends on ontologies. This article focuses on various aspects of Web Ontology and some real time examples to make explicit the use of ontology for development of semantic web.
