Abstract:
Emergence of digital libraries is posing a different kind of conundrum Librarians, where the traditional gatekeepers of knowledge are being bypassed. Likewise the role of library professionals
is also changing, they have to act as Cybrarian instead of Librarians. Changed and expected roles &
responsibilities of Librarians and library professionals are discussed in the paper.
